"No lift No injury" was developed as a means of addressing the high rates of injury suffered by nurses and care workers arising from the manual handling of people. The program seeks to replace manual lifting in all but exceptional cases with the use of lifting machines, people moving aids and the encouragement of self mobilisation of residents or patients. This evaluation of the program includes an executive summary, background, methodology, outcomes and findings, evaluation, communication, extension of results, and recommendations. Funded by the WorkCover Corporation Grants Scheme.
