Home care workers need to be alert to hazards and risks in their jobs and they need to know what to look for and how to report and record them, for their clients’ safety, their own safety and for ongoing best practice. The DVD has 5 chapters and is interactive. At the end of Chapters 1 to 4, there is a short sequence that shows a number of hazards in different home care situations and asks workers to Spot the Hazard and Discuss the Risk. The final chapter repeats these scenarios and adds 3 new situations, again inviting the viewer to Spot the Hazard and Discuss the Risk.
