The objective of this research is to provide an assessment of the costs incurred by small businesses/employers in the retail, hospitality, manufacturing and other services sectors in Ireland due to work-related injuries.
The study also shows that the annual total costs of workplace-related injuries experienced by small businesses in the sectors examined is estimated at €18.5 million in the year to November 2011, with a mean annual cost of €9,138 per small business which experienced an injury.
