The new workplace health and safety laws have made some significant changes to terminology and more importantly the relationship between the organisation and the contractor and its employees. Contractors must ensure their workers, including subcontractors, are aware of both their company's safety requirements and the requirements of the workplace in which they are carrying out their work. This video has been produced to assist all workplace parties to understand their obligations in light of current WHS legislation.
This presentation discusses the importance of:
- The SWMS
- Risk control, including the hierarchy of controls
- Duty of care
- Accident and incident reporting
- Safe tools and equipment
