Abstract:
Publications previously produced by SafeWork SA and ReturnToWorkSA (previously WorkCoverSA) are made available online via this Library catalogue for research purposes only. This title may reference superseded South Australian legislation, include links to web pages that have moved or no longer exist, or may refer to other documents that are no longer available.

If it is true that management decisions are only as good as the information on which they are based, it follows that in order to control the costs of occupational health and safety, a means of quantifying
performance will be necessary. Such means are discussed in this paper and recommendations are made which address the broader issues which encompass the subject matter. It is proposed that a radical approach must be taken to bring about reforms and that this should be accomplished sooner, rather than later.
