The WorkCover Disability Focus Group received a grant in 2001 to undertake a needs analysis of people with a disability in relation to workplace health and safety and injury management. On the basis of this research, the Group developed a Strategic plan for the period 2001-2003. The plan outlines strategies that focus on advocating for services and service enhancement based on research within the sector. The Focus Group subsequently received the current grant to progress two strategies included in the plan. Part 1 - To map out current OHS&W training available in employment services in SA, both open and supported. Part 2 - While undertaking the review of training develop a checklist in relation to OHS&W and injury management for integrating these issues into a worker's individual employment plan.
