The focus of the project was on the development and dissemination to small businesses of information promulgating the OHSW regulations, in particular, relating to Hazardous Substances. It was a pilot program to demonstrate an approach to small business to assist them to meet their requirements for the management of hazardous substances. The project promoted and encouraged the responsible management of hazardous substances and emergency planning practices by small businesses. A series of workshops were conducted and a number of workplace demonstrations took place. Information was also provided by a newsletter called 'Chemwise'.
