This guidance note explains the general requirements of the occupational safety and health legislation as they apply to 'covert operations' and dangerous operations'. It also explains exclusions in the legislation in relation to 'covert operations' and 'dangerous operations'. It should be used by members of the Western Australian Police Service, contractors and other persons, for example, consultants, who have responsibilities in relation to the occupational safety and health of police officers or unsworn employees of the Police Service.
