Abstract:
Provides practical guidance to safety management at public events and aims to help minimise the risks of injury or damage to persons or property from hazards commonly found at public events. Risks of injury to employees, members of the public and other persons in attendance at public events should be eliminated or, where that is not possible, reduced so far as is reasonably practicable in accordance with duty of care principles. The guide covers a range of matters including:
- the management and assessment of equipment and devices at public events
- vehicle movements within public event areas
- gas and electrical safety
- the safety in handling animals so as not to present a risk to the health and safety of persons at public events.
