The report provides an in-depth analysis of all work-related injuries that were serious enough to result in hospitalisation during the two year period. The report uses the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare's (AIHW) National Hospital Morbidity Database and provides extensive details of hospitalised work-related injuries by industry sector, mechanism, nature, body region, principal diagnosis, length of stay and procedures. It also provides an analysis of those injury hospitalisations funded by workers' compensation.
