Statistics were obtained from the Child Employment Survey, conducted throughout Australia in June 2006 as a supplement to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) monthly Labour Force Survey (LFS). The survey collected details about whether children worked, when they worked, their reasons for working and their working arrangements.
