Abstract:
The aims of this research were to supplement conventional dust and crystalline silica exposure data from quarries with data on breathing rates, air speed and particle size distribution, in order to assess the potential for risk underestimation, and to compare worker groups with respect to risk. This research was commissioned through the MAQOHSC / SafeWork SA WHS Commissioned Research Grants Programme.
