It contains information on the risks and hazards of tunnelling, the control measures which can be used to help eliminate or minimise, so far as is reasonably practicable, a worker’s exposure to those risks and hazards. The Guide also provides guidance on tunnel planning and preparation, common hazards and risks associated with tunnelling work and how to control those risks, air quality and ventilations systems and plant. The Guide is for use by tunnel designers, principal contractors, plant designers, manufacturers or installers and workers.
