Part One of this report summarises the fatalities investigated by inspectors from
the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), reported in the agricultural sector in Great
Britain (GB) between 1 April 2012 and 31 March 2013. The agriculture sector comprises: farming; horticulture; forestry; fish farming; and other associated landbased industries including landscaping and arboriculture. Part Two summarises fatal injuries notified to HSE within the agricultural sector in the ten-year period 2002/03 to 2011/12. It identifies trends and highlights key issues from the investigation of fatal injuries involving employees, the self-employed and members of the public during this period.
