Abstract:

Reported here are the findings of a second safety research project (DSW Safety Project 2) undertaken with Disability Services and the same researchers and which involves an extension of the three pilot interventions undertaken in DSW Safety Project 1, in addition to the implementation of further safety pilot trials for DSWs.

This research, funded by the SafeWork SA Innovative Practice Grant Program, aimed to translate further safety recommendations into practice using pilot studies. This research project aimed to work collaboratively with Disability Services personnel to understand the requirements for implementing safety interventions and to understand factors that contribute to the sustainability of interventions.
