This document includes recommendations made by the former Pesticides and Agricultural Chemicals Standing Committee (PACSC) of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and by the Office of Chemical Safety (OCS). The recommendations are intended to provide guidance in the approval of labels for agricultural and veterinary chemical products.

The FAISD Handbook is updated quarterly (March/June/September/December) and is published on the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) website where it is available free of charge.
