The Australian Work and Life Index (AWALI) is a national survey measuring the extent to which paid work interferes with activities outside of work, community connections and time with family and friends, as well as time pressure and overall satisfaction with work-life balance. This report presents the findings of the 2014 survey. 2,690 adults were surveyed on satisfaction with work-life balance, time pressures, actual and preferred working hours, non standard or 'unsocial' working hours, aged and child care responsibilities, work intensity, requests for flexible work arrangements, and predictors of flourishing.
