This report discusses key findings from the Australian work and life index survey. It involves a telephone survey of around 1000 SA workers, conducted in February/March biennially since 2010. The index provides a general benchmark of work-life interference. The items that make up AWALI include: the extent to which paid work interferes with activities outside of work; community connections and time with family and friends; time pressure; and overall satisfaction with work-life balance.
